Hey, I am getting interested in shaping but first I know I need a place to shape. I was thinking about buying a shed or something where i could shape in there. But about how much room do I need? Cause at both of my houses, I am 14 by the way and living at dads and then moms, the garages are pretty much full. So I wanna get an outside place to shape in my backyard. So if you can help me out with what supplies I will need and how big of a shed i should get. Thank you so much.

Gage.
At a minimum, you need enough room to set up 2 stands, put your blank on it, and be able to walk around them comfortably. You will also need some lights. I used to shape in my 2 car garage. I put up a tarp that blocked off half of the area. I made board stands and lights that were mobile and could easily be moved off to the side when the shaping was done. Temporary set up. Got the job done, but took longer to clean up then it did to set up.
But was worth it!
I don’t really have any dimensions for you but if I were to guestimate, 12′ x 10′ would be a good start…

Been ridin’ longboards for a while in the pacific northwest and have gotten inspired to ride shorter boards. Was lookin’ at the mini-simms and saw you guys surfin’ closed cell. The price of a mini-simms is up there, I’ve never shaped a board, any suggestions? How hard do you think it would be to shape a mini-simms pllaning hull as a first board? Or should I try ridin’ a piece of closed cell? Any suggestions would be great.
Great site keep up the good work, everything is possible!
When will Stoked and Broke make it to Portland?
Thanks
