I believe the quad wasn’t ridden at J-bay until the following year in 93′. I think the first board Curren rode at Jeffries was a Maurice Cole with yellow rails. This board and wave was shown in The Search 1. The Quad was ridden in the Search 2 during an epic session with Shane Beschen, Dooma Harman, Brock Little and Frankie O. Shame we can’t get those Search films on DVD.

This is the definition of how a human should connect his flow to the energy of a wave, absolute bliss in the form of wave riding.

To set the record straight Directly from the Filmaker Sonny Millers mouth the first year in search1 he rode a Mark Rabbige thruster on his legendary first session at Jbay. It was the following year in search2 that the quad came out on a giant 10ft day. That year he also rode the Skip Frye fish at Albatros before the giant swell materialized.Dont believe the Ultimate sessions story its not accurate. Who wrote that OH Matt Warshaw well there you go. This is the truth to the misconception.
    Aloha
