This is the first episode of our two-part All Yew featuring Australian ripper Daniel Thomson. Winning “Best in Show” at the 2009 Sacred Craft Surfboard Expo in Del Mar, Thompson has been shaping his own surfboards since the age of 14. He has quickly made a name for himself with his highly refined hydrofoil twin finned designs proven by his radical surfing.
Filmed in California, Australia and Indonesia, the super 16mm surfing footage is comprised of outtakes from the film “Under the Sun.”

love re-watching these vids–always catch something you didn’t the first time. dig seeing shapers like Thompson & Burch shredding. definitely have an authority & understanding of the sport and craft.
