Don’t like it when you and your car smell like rotten piss after a morning surf? Well nor do we here at Korduroy so we researched a few household remedies that will get you and your wettie feeling fresh and clean.

    Hey I’ve used a mixture of white vinegar and water on boots…left them smelling brand new. 2 to 1 Water to vinegar

    Ryan- not sure about that… i think all rubber smells if you pee in it enough.

    I’ve just used baking soda in a bucket of water but I doubt it kills bacteria. Also used that wetsuit cleaner in a bottle and that works great but I don’t really know what makes it different than any other “light duty” detergent. I like the use of antiseptic. Cool.

    So I tried the recipe…and my suit smells like mouthwash… I only used about 1 cap full. Used listerine too. Hmmmmm. Can you get non-flavored?

    I loved your video!
    I applied this yesterday on my wetsuits. Lets see if it really works!
    For now, what I can say is that the water smelled great and that it was brown’ish by the time I removed the wetsuits to rinse and hang…

    Great video!
    BUT, i left my wettie gloves hood and booties, wet, in a towel in a rucksack for about 5 days unintentionally..!

    Just doubled the amount of detergent etc and hoping it will do the job with a good long soak, if not, anyone have more ideas ?
