This is perhaps the finest surf film ever made- not as mainstream as ES but a true surfer’s film. Innovative angles, great clear shots and visual narrative. Classic Greenough- the man has given soo much to surfing and the documentation of surfing while lurking in the shadows.. Good on ya k.tv!
I love this film too. The surfing angles are something else, partly inspired by 2001 a space odyssey film. No Narrative in this film, the surfing and music say it all. ‘The Farm’ were an epic band.
Such a classic film, can sit down and watch it all day long. The intro to the actual film with the barrel footage was shot at a point in my home town, still isn’t crowded today so I get to live the dream when ever it breaks.

I didn’t know the film was inspired by 2001 a Space Odyssy.. I named my computer HAL.
