It seems like no matter where you go these days, nobody does it like the locals. Their surfing is so natural and playful like they are apart of their break. Here’s a little clip from deep in Mexico “that secret spot” that everyone knows about on a good summer swell.

it is great to see the local kids embracing surfing and shredding, but what isn’t great is their attitude. We see it time and time again- the locals start out stoked groms and turn into arrogant pricks. its happening all over the world. The sad truth of it is its us gringos that are making them that way. We all go down there either edgy from the stress of city life or spoilt and entitled and when we see their perfect waves we act like crazed gold diggers. If you look at most people in the local towns they friendly and sincere- its our characteristics that rubbing off on the kids and changing these once innocent breaks.
