So we came across this post and thought it was pretty awesome! Take a piece of paper and turn it into an iPod dock or stand. It is funny, because although it may be useless to some, just the simplicity that it takes to create something that people pay a decent amount of money for makes me smile. Doing it yourself sometimes can be hard, but don’t make it that way. Keep it simple. Most of the time, it is more fun that way anyway.

First, check out the “making of” the dock and see the train of thought that this person went through to make this paper tool. From diagrams and drawings to prototype models, the “making of” is almost more fun to look at then the actual finished product. They broke it down into folds, cuts, and outline to create a template to share with the internet.

The final product is clean, simple, and easy to follow with a detail instruction/template to follow. Make one and you’ll see how easy it is. Make sure you use a card stock type paper so that it does not crumble with the weight of the device. You can download the template here or go to the website to see a bit more about the process.
