Ombak “is going to be epic”

This weekend welcomes another surf film festival, this time to La Plancha beach bar in Bali, Indonesia. Taking a break from the perfect waves to watch movies about surfers catching perfect waves is, in a word, perfect. This is the 6th straight year of the Ombak festival, and they will be presenting 20 films in total. They’ll also be celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the Rip Curl Invitational with what they say is an “awe-inspiring beachside exhibit” featuring photos from the past decade. There will also be live music and they’re guaranteeing good times all around. Bonus: the whole thing is free.

Here’s a list of the usual suspects and some new names that will be showing at the fest. Get trailers and showtimes on their website.
