Ozzie film shoot at ULuwatus
SO I went down to Ulu’s 2 days ago with Ozzie to shoot some film for my upcoming film, it was my first ever Ulu experience and wow i was blown away! It was a nice swell and we knew this would be it for the upcoming week as the swell forcast looks pretty meek with the new moon and all, so we packed the boards up and Ellis Ericson drove us down to the Buket.
The boys surfed racetracks which is the end section of Uluwatus and were going off. Ozzie just loves this place and walked around the surf ghetto like he had been there his whole life, which he has. I shot from the rocks down on the shoreline to get a fresh perspective other than the above shot that has been done a hundred times in surf movies throughout our lifetimes. A still photographer was capturing all the action and gave me a few jpegs for the blog, as you can see, Ozzie goes fast. He was doing some insane airs and getting barreled almost on every wave. I was so stoked to start getting some clips for the film and its a great start to the trip.
After breaking his fin on the way in Ozzie got his board repaired on the spot as we ate lunch and sucked down a few bintangs before heading out for another surf before the sun went in. The place is truly mystical and now i know why it is among the worlds premiere surf spots.
