KorduroyTV Virtual Film Festival
After a great response from the Sacred Craft film festival and a lot of people feeling like the missed out on the action, the Korduroy crew decided to host an online version of the film festival for one day only, featuring the top 5 fan favorites from the weekend. Viewers had a chance to check out the shorts from Jeremy Asher Lynch, Branden Aroyan, Tyler Mason, Richard Kenvin, and Cyrus Sutton.

Sacred Craft Film Festival in Ventura
KorduroyTV hosted the first film festival at the Sacred Craft event in Ventura. With the popcorn machine revving at full blast and cardboard seating from CardboardRobot.com, the Korduroy booth featured short films from a eclectic mix of surf filmmakers.

Tom’s Creation Plantation released with new ECOpack packaging
Tom Creation Plantation was officially released with never before seen packaging. The ECOpack was designed in collaboration with the Berkeley-based GreenerPrinter and introduces the first four color, full sized 100% recycled kraft paper DVD case.

Filming of Stoked and Broke
Cyrus Sutton and Ryan Burch set out on foot for a zero dollar surf staycation down the San Diego coastline equipped with handmade bamboo rickshaws, boards stacked high, and foraged food looking for fun surf and good times. From Encinitas to Point Loma, the two got some great waves, met up with a mix of characters, and slept out in some unusual places.

Tom’s Creation Plantation took home the prize for best short surf film at the Yallingup Surf Film Festival. Tom Wegener was in attendance to accept the award!

Cyrus shapes handplane at Sacred Craft Del Mar
Cyrus demonstrated his handplane shaping skills at the Sacred Craft event in Del Mar. KorduoryTV’s good friend, Ryan Burch, also took part in the shaping demos as he mowed out a handcrafted fish for the crowd of onlookers.

After the initial website, Korduroy shifts gears and changes up its look with a new, easier to navigate website featuring higher quality videos, a built in blog, and more user interaction such as shaka-meters and comments.

KorduroyTV event in Maine
The Korduroy Kooks, Cyrus Sutton and Ryan Tatar, invaded Corduroy Surf Boutique and Gallery for an art show and KorduroyTV DIY demo. Not only that, but the two scored the swell of the season with Hurricane Bill hitting the east coast throwing up pumping point break surf.

Korduroy/Patagoina Cardiff Alaia shaping event with Jon Wegener
Patagonia Cardiff opened up their back patio for an alaia shaping demo with our good friend Jon Wegener. The event included 2 separate hour-long shaping tutorials with Jon as he mowed out 2 alaias for the crowd and answered questions on building an alaia.
