Surf Sufficient

After dropping ninety bucks on a set of fins for his new Tomo, Cyrus decided to save some money and make his own set of side fins for a widow-maker style 6'3" he made with Jon Wegener. Making your own fins is easier than you'd think. Simply follow the instructions in this episode of Surf Sufficient and you'll surprised at the results. *A general ratio is 10 drops catalyst to every 1 ounce of polyester resin, but it varies on humidity and temperature.

that looks fun, I'm going to try to make mine with FF tabs, been making nubs with old fins but I like the plywood originals

I have been messing with it for a while now. My tip is, wood makes all the difference. Don't waste your time with anything other than good quality marine ply. Otherwise you'll be bummed and have fins full of voids. Cool video though, thanks.

This is a great tutorial, thanks Cyrus. Has anyone out there tried to make FCS or Futures compatible plywood fins? I'm working on a set today. They look great, but I'm wondering how they'll work.
