The beautiful part about California is the vast array of climate, landscape, and topography. I think it has been a dream of a lot of “boarders” to get a surf, snowboard, and skate session all in one day. It is definitely possible. And Chris ‘Crib’ Butler did it and documented the adventure for you to enjoy. Join Crib on a 500 mile, 18-hour journey throughout Northern California, as he attempts to do all three board sports in one day (California Triple) on his journey through Lake Tahoe, Santa Cruz, and San Francisco.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the “California Triple!”

About Chris: I am a surfer, skater, snowboarder and board-shaper living in Northern California. I was born and raised in Colerain Township located in southwest Ohio near the Indiana and Kentucky borders. My love for board sports began in the mid-1980s when I started skateboarding street-style and grew when I moved to California in 2002. Today, I am living my dream of traveling around the world surfing, snowboarding, and skateboarding. My friends and I made the short film “California Triple” to inspire people to be adventurous, get off the couch, & enjoy board sports. We also wanted to encourage kids to dream big and go for it.
