Homemade Spacecraft

This inspiring DIY space voyage follows the journey of a “take-out” wrapper into outer space with the use of a weather balloon and an HD camera. The balloon goes 19 miles up into the stratosphere, taking about 70 minutes, before it bursts and drops at 150 mph back to the earth with it’s parachute deployed.

The construction of the craft would have to be able to sustain 100 mph winds, temperatures of 60 below, and be able to land in water if necessary. An iPhone was also put into the craft so that the GPS could be used to track it once it falls back down to earth.

Just watch!
