Do you remember the first time you stood up on your board and rode a wave into the shore? It was probably love at first ride. In this video, Thomas Scott talks about when it all started for him while taking us on a walk through the hills of Rio de Janiero as he gathers wood for the perfect board. He explains that there’s this strange contradiction between surfing and the environment–the natural environment is what sustains surfing, but in order for surfers to thrive, they take from that environment without giving anything back.
With his work, Thomas is on a quest to make a cleaner board, and here we get a glimpse at how he does it. More from him can be found here: studiocaturama.blogspot.com.br/
