Finished With An Old Book?
Sketchbooks and Journals are the perfect tool to build your creativity and to remember ideas & memories. Me being an avid drawer I’m always in need of more paper. So instead of buying new sketchbooks I turned to some used hardcover books and a pile of leftover craft paper. Together they make for excellent sketchbooks and at the same time help the environment by recycling old material.
Have Leftover Scape Paper Around The House?
This project is a fun way of making a one of kind book just for you or as a cool custom gift for friends and family. There are tons of ways that you to can add you own creative twist to your book. From the cover to the kind of paper you find. Each book will be different and unique.
Add Pen or Marker Holders!
One pet peeve of mine is not having a marker around when an idea pops into my head. So for these books adding a marker holder was a definite. I also love the ocean and sea so when I saw the “Fish of the World” book ( only $1 at library) I knew that this would be a perfect sketchbook cover.
Easy To Make
The below pictures show the build and my final results. Happy Sketchbook Making!
