Brazilian Alaia Shaping

When we hear the words “Brazilian surfing” we immediately think about big airs and aggressive contest surfing. But as surfing culture continues to grow across the nation, new avenues are popping up which respect the simple act of riding waves and the craftsmanship that accompanies this pursuit. We were stoked to hear about this new series from Flamboiar called Sea Creatures.

“Sea Creatures is a series about interesting characters around surfing, which brings world views, impressions and stories beyond the line-up.”

“In this episode Rodrigo Matsuda, from Lasca Surfboards tells about the time he spent in Japan, where he learned the art of shaping with one of the best Japanese shapers.”
