Danny Hess is a legend.
He’s a San Francisco funhogger, shaper, surfer and staple who calls the fog soaked shore of Ocean Beach home. His small shaping studio is just a few blocks from some of North America’s best sand bars, which affords a perfect opportunity to hone the art of board building with sustainable materials that can stand up to frigid waters known to break bones and boards. When he’s not shaping boards, you might find him working on one of his handplanes.
