Quinten Wyns tells us he’s been interested in photography for the past three years. He uses a standard drug-store-model underwater camera and we’re shocked at the results, both because he’s new at this and because his equipment is so…primitive. This gallery of images is from a surf trip to southern Portugal, where Wyns and his brother seem to have traveled high and low for interesting scenery and elusive waves. Most photos feature brother Wyns–the guy in the red flannel.
While living amongst unknowns, between changes in life direction and a new but undeveloped interest in making surf films, Wyns lets his camera do most of the thinking for him.
