Grain at Camp Korduroy

Beginning with some uncharacteristic October rain in San Diego, sunny skies prevailed as Grain’s Nolan Collins and Allen Anderson led the four surf enthusiasts (Pablo Fuenteseca from Santiago Chile, John Hanley, Zen Gesner, and Scott Buse) in handcrafting their own wooden surfboards. Maurice Cole stopped by to check out the action and Jon Wegener talked story with the crew. Powered by local cooked meals and refreshments, the crew refined their masterpieces in the fresh, high seventy degree sunshine. After a great run of fall surf, the small waves down the street offered the guys a refreshing way to rinse off the wood dust without creating too much distraction. It was nice to see our space being used to bring 4 beautiful boards to life. Thanks Grain! We hope next year is even better.
