The Grain Surfboards annual Surf Re-Evolution event is coming up next Saturday, Sept. 27. It’s a full day of shaping demos, art, film premieres, live music out in York, Maine. It’s just beautiful out there this time of year, and there’s nothing better than 12 hours of surf-related activities and awesome people. Saturday September 27th
9am- 12pm- Beach Demo and Paipo Mania at Long Sands Beach in York Maine
2pm- 9pm- Art, hands-on activities, film premiers, surfboard shaping and glassing, live music, food and drinks at Grain Surfboards, 60 Brixham Rd, York Maine 03909.
Enjoy Handplanes will be here along with the folks from Ecovative. They will be the ones growing and shaping handplanes from mushroom spores. Jon Wegener will be here to discuss, and demonstrate shaping finless boards. The good folks from 3S Artspace and Chases Garage will offer live art and hands-on art opportunities for kids. Misfit Productions will be showing their newest film, What the Sea Gives Me, which showcases gripping cinematography and stunning footage from California, New England, Oahu, Alaska, Mexico, South Africa and India.
Entropy Resins will join us with the only surfboard epoxy that’s approved by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. They will offer a glassing demo and answer any questions you might have on the subject. The Mattson 2 playing two sets throughout the afternoon. Then local favorites, Tiger Belly, will ring in the evening as the bonfire lights up the sky.
There will also be food vendors from around the area including Flatbread, Good T’Go, Vida Verde, Bob’s Clam Hut and more along with some great beverages from Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and White Heron Tea.
