Tickets go on sale today for three screenings of Patagonia’s Uncharted Waters, a documentary by Craig Griffin about Australia’s Wayne Lynch (Patagonia ambassador). According to Patagonia, Uncharted Waters traces Lynch’s upbringing in the seaside town of Lorne on Victoria’s south western coast and his turbulent experiences as a ‘conscientious objector’ on the run from conscription and the Vietnam War. Ultimately, they say, it is about an extremely gifted individual with an intense connection to the Southern Ocean, whose approach to surfing has been a spiritual journey often putting him at odds with the surfing subculture and society in general.
Tickets are $10 and both the Griffin and Lynch will be doing Q&A sessions after each screening. Here’s a taste of what to expect:

If you can’t make the screenings, there will be a DVD release…eventually. The good folks at Patagonia will keep us in the loop and we’ll pass on the info to you when we have it. In the meantime, if you’re in SoCal or NYC, check it out sooner rather than later.
